As a church school our shared values are important to us because they are rooted in scripture. They are reviewed periodically by the whole school community. For now the ones chosen as the most important (and which are a fundamental part of our school ethos) are:

 

Generosity

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  2 Corinthians 9:6

 

Peace

The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:26  

 

Creativity

And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.Genesis 1:30

 

Perseverance

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12: 1 - 2

 

Justice

Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favouritism to the great, but judge your neighbour fairly. Leviticus 19:14-16

 

Friendship

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17

 

Compassion

Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. Matthew 20:34

 

Humility

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Philippians 2:3

 

Respect

Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honour the emperor.

1 Peter 2:17

 

Forgiveness

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14

 

Courage

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

 

Responsibility

for each one should carry their own load. Galatians 6:5
