Pupils have a choice each day to either bring in packed lunch from home or purchase a meal provided by the kitchen of one of our neighbouring schools.

The hot meals are offered free of charge to every infant class pupil under the Universal Free School Meals Government policy. There is a charge for meals for older pupils. 

The meals comply with the nutritional standards set by the Government and are served to the children to eat in their classroom alongside those having a packed lunch.

Your child might be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

• Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400 per year/ £616 per month, as assed by earnings from up to 3 of you most recent assessment periods)
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit (provided you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16, 190)
• Workin Tax Credit run-on -paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

Children who get paid these benefits directly, instead of through a parent or guardian can also get free school meals.
