Music at Southrop
Music is at the heart of everything that we do at Southrop from singing in worship, using music to learn our tables or performing in our community. Using the Charanga scheme throughout the school, all children have a 1 hour music lesson. In KS1 the children learn to play the ocarina, moving onto the recorder in KS2. Throughout the year we have a range of dfferent opportunities for the children to perform including Nativity, Carol singing, KS2 end of year production, Southrop's got talent and Young Voices. We really enjoy live performances for example, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and the English Touring Opera,
