In this school we chose to study French as a modern foreign language. Children are taught in the Cygnet class, lower juniors and upper juniors.

We hope to develop a love for learning another language in the children and give them the chance to find out about an alternative culture.

These studies come into their own when in every other year our year 4, 5 and 6 pupils are invited to participate in a residential visit for four days in France. This is arranged in conjunction with two other local schools. The visit gives them a chance to put what they have learned into practice.
